A timeless teatime classic, the Victoria Sandwich was a favourite of Queen Victoria herself—light sponge cake layered with whipped cream and jam, served alongside her afternoon tea. At Miana Croissanterie, we’ve taken this British tradition and given it a French-inspired twist—swapping sponge for our signature butter croissant.
Flaky, golden, and rich with slow-churned butter, our croissants add a new dimension to this elegant treat. Layered with vanilla-scented whipped cream and fresh strawberries, it’s still every bit the afternoon delight—just reimagined in the language of pastry.
Miana’s Croissant Victoria Sandwich Serves 2
You’ll need:
2 butter croissants from Miana Croissanterie
½ cup heavy cream
1 tsp vanilla essence
1 tbsp powdered sugar
6–8 fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
A light dusting of icing sugar (optional)
To make:
Whip the cream with vanilla and powdered sugar until soft peaks form.
Slice each croissant horizontally, leaving a small hinge to keep the halves attached.
Spoon the whipped cream generously onto the bottom half.
Layer on the strawberries.
Gently close the croissant and finish with a dusting of icing sugar.
Serve immediately—for brunch, dessert, or an indulgent tea.
Light, luxurious, and unmistakably Miana.
